Warriors & Barbarians make the “Big Show”

In a massive weekend for the club, both the Barbarian and the Warrior Teams had wins to advance them to their respective Vicbowl Games this Sunday.
The Barbarains defeated the Northern Raiders 12-6 in the 4th overtime period after the score was 0-0 at the end of regulation.
In the 2nd overtime the Raiders scored on a run, and then it was up to the Barbarians to score and equalise (NCAA tied game rules). Then TE Pat Mould scored a touchdown pass to equalise, continuing the deadlock. In the 4th overtime, Barbarian WR Sean O’Kane caught a touchdown pass from QB Kieren Dwyer to break the tie and send the Barbarians through to the Div 2 Vic-bowl. Running Backs James Pho and Tim Ransfield had magnificent ground gains throughout the game and in OT to set these scores up.
The Warriors defeated the Western Cursaders 34-6. A stand-out game from the Warriors front seven on defense ensured a defensive shut-out with the Crusaders score coming from a QB fumble.
This sunday both teams will be contesting for the 2013 championship – Come down and support your club!
